Alaskan Dog Mushing & Overnight Adventure
Fly down the Knik river valley and past the towering Pioneer Peak with views of The Sleeping Lady and Denali before landing in Big Lake, Alaska, where you will be welcomed at The Dogstead! Home of respected Idiatrod musher Nic Petit and his kennel of lovable pups.
You ‘ll be greeted and shown to your overnight accommodations on the 160 acre property that offers views of the Talkeetna, Chugach and Alaska Mountain Ranges. Enjoy a night’s stay in a comfortable and cozy yurt…with a woodstove for added ambiance.
Choose between an evening dogsled ride (offered only to yurt guests) or a morning mushing experience. In the spring and summer get pulled on a cart, specially designed by Nic for a unique riding adventure, and in the winter enjoy a snowy ride on a traditional dogsled.
